Tony Eyers (not featured on 1st CD) was introduced to harmonica as an undergraduate at Yale in the 1970's. Returning to Australia in the early 1980's, he started playing electric blues, forming the Full House Blues Band, which became well known in Adelaide. Moving to Sydney at the end of the 1980s he was introduced to bluegrass fiddle tunes. He has developed different tuning systems for diatonic harmonicas to accommodate the swift tempos of bluegrass and Irish tunes. Tony’s solo CD Black Mountain Harmonica has earned him the respect and admiration of harmonica players around the world, and receives regular airplay on Radio National in Australia. As well as providing burning harp and bluesy vocals on stage with The Lawnmowers, Tony keeps the audience entertained with his vast repertoire of comic jigs, facial contortions and spirited vocalisations. Along with the harmonica, Tony has a strong interest in baroque recorder, and now performs regularly on recorder with Cantate e Strumente, a baroque group he formed in 1995 with Amanda Muir.
