The Good Road (2003)

The idea here was certainly to ‘tell it like it is’,
and try to capture the spontaneous raw energy
of the band. With all its ‘rock’n’roll moments’,
bonus bars, bars missing-in-action, break-ups
and break-downs, the CD hopefully tells the story
of a band- fresh, tender & sweet as the morning
dew, with all the promise of the new day before it.

To this end, the whole CD was tracked ‘live’ to disk
as a band, either in the studio or at gigs. The only
exceptions being a few of Andrews fiddle & mandolin lines, Rob’s solo on St Annes Reel, Rob’s mandolin & dobro on Home Sweet Home, and a vocal harmony on Down the Road. The rest is straight from the horse's talking apparatus!

Second Cut (2006)

The new CD includes new members Tony Eyers on
harmonica and Liz Frencham on bass. It also features guest flautist Lucy Langham.

The second CD contains about seventy percent home~grown material ~ not to be looked upon as a departure from the traditional repertoire but
as an inevitable product of the creative forces and combinations within the band..

With carefully selected material, slicker production & more composed arrangements, Second Cut shows off contemporary Australian ‘newgrass’ at its best.
